This provides an excellent perspective on the lasting value of activities undertaken during the WPA era...lessons we can all learn from.

Living near the Merritt Parkway I often see the bridges you mention and ponder the impact to the economy they and the road beneath them have had. Seventy-five years of interstate commerce on one of the busiest corridors in the Northeast.

I wonder where the New York metropolitan area would be without them?
